The Maple Project is the next stage following the Maple Review and aims to implement the eight recommendations from the Maple Review’s Report, published in June 2026.

The Maple Project exists to identify and dismantle the barriers to entrepreneurship caused by economic deprivation. Through research, lived experience, stakeholder collaboration and storytelling, the Project aims to make enterprise accessible to everyone, regardless of starting point.

Spearheaded by Small Business Britain, with backing from the UK Government and supported by Xero, the Maple Project aims to make enterprise accessible to everyone through research, close consultation with entrepreneurs with lived experience, and engagement with policymakers.
